Item number: MIN0420
Price: EUR 385.00
Extraordinary two generations aggregate of two Calcite crystals grown with back against each other. First generation of two dark and opaque calcite crystals 11,5 and 14,5 cm in lengths covered with palygorskite and romanèchite. Large twinned (fish tail) of the first calcite generation are coated on front faces with white palygorskite and on sides and backs with romanèchite, the black manganese oxide. The first dark calcite generation enriched with manganese strongly fluoresces red in long wave UV. The second generation of calcite, with crystals up to 5 cm, forms a cascade-shaped, high lustrous crystals splendor on the back. Huge contrast between snowy white palygorskite and deep black romanèchite with the second generation of colorless partly translucent calcite crystals on the top of the first one create a spectacular and exquisite specimen.
