Honey-yellow-green, lustrous pure crystals of fluorapatite from Mexico iron deposit in Durango. The well contrasting translucent Fluorapatite in the chalcedony-quartz-hematite matrix is accompanied with long prismatic crystals of diopside-hedenbergit (pyroxene group). The longest pyroxene crystal measure 2 cm in length and is about 3 mm thick.The biggest well terminated Fluorapatite crystal reach 2,6 cm. The bluish clumps of chalcedony fluorescents intensively yellow in short UV. Fluorapatite crystals are a secondary mineral in this mexican iron deposit. Nice and aesthetic specimen from Cerro de Mercado.
