Professional hardness scale comprising 10 different minerals:
- talc
- gypsum
- calcite
- fluorite
- apatite
- feldspar
- quartz
- topaz
- corundum
- natural diamond
The first nine minerals are planarized on one side and smoothed down to grit 220 so that you can easily and confidently assess the streakes. Of additional help is the 8-fold magnifier.
Our set comes with two natural diamonds (stored in a little glass bottle).
All samples are numerated and kept in a wooden etui made of laser cut wood.
The inside of the lid shows the hardness scale after Mohs and absolute scale.
