This magnetic base is used to fix the drilled stone and thus enables an exact perforation and intact edge of the hole without chipping.
This base can be used for the plastic insert (DBAK01) or the metal insert (DBAH01) in combination with a counter pin (DBAST5). These items are not included, please order separately.
Instruction to drill smooth and straight holes without chipping:
- Place this magnetic base directly under the drill (on the ferromagnetic bottom plate of a drill press)
- put the stone bead or other object on the DBAK01 base and drill about 2-4 mm deep.
- put the bead aside
- fix the plastic holder (DBAK01) with a counter pin (DBAST5) or the metal holder together with an old drill as counter pin
- put the bead with the shallow hole on the counter pin
- drill the top of the bead until the drill touches the counter pin
