Clock made of polished Orthogneiss slab.
Black&White – not the whisky but an orthogneiss from the far north of Norway. Orthogneiss is a metamorphic rock, often with parallel-eye texture sometimes referred to as Augen gneiss. Orthogneiss is gneiss derived from igneous rock (eg. granite), due metamorphic transformation (high pressure and high temperature). The white “Augen” (eyes) of feldspar surrounded with black biotite mica show a beautiful contrast.
