Carlsbad Aragonite tube

The Czech town Carlsbad is world- famous for its mineral-rich hot springs. The hot water flows through a piping system which is exchanged after several decades. The water has deposited continuously  some of its minerals on the wall of the tube.  Cutting sometimes reveals impressive Aragonite structures like annual rings of a tree - depending on the mineral composition with slightly varying colors! What's apperaing on the preview images as donut pendants is actually a cross section through a iron pipe inside covered with Aragonite crust and has a diameter up to 40 cm!
