Biotite polished by hand
Biotite is a glimmer mineral named after the French physicist Jean Baptiste Biot, sometimes also referred to as “dark glimmer”. The mineral is found as a glittering additive in many cosmetics. The biotite offered here, which has been hand-polished using a special process, comes from Hermanov in the Czech Republic.
A biotite lens already has its shape from nature and is only polished, which is not that easy due to the lamellar substance.
